Coron / El NiDo 2018 Day 4 - 6 : Small Lagoon -> Big Lagoon -> Snake Island -> Cudugnon Cave -> Pinagbuyutan Island -> Seven Commandos Beach -> Las Cabanas Beach -> Coron -> Angeles City -> Home Sweet Home

Day 4 :

Good morning! Having coffee with a view before we start the day!

Taking our Tuk Tuk to the town again!

Our small Tuk Tuk and yet amazingly fit the four of us!

We booked our island hopping tour for today here! I seriously do not know the name of this tour agency ( I can't find any signboard? ) but it was recommended by my friend. It is located just right opposite A Little Corner of Paradise, or can contact Rebecca at +639062361184 for booking ( which we did! ).

Many other tour to choose from.

Shy dog! So cute!

So while standing outside the tour agency, you will see this shop, A Little Corner of Paradise.

Still have some time before our tour so we went nearby to grab some drinks and snacks.

Done grabbing the snacks, tour starts!

Here we are at the port!

Eh? What? That's our boat?!

Ok... that's really our boat for today's tour! By the way, that's our tour guide for the day!

Just kidding! Here's our real boat! We book a private tour this time round so we have the whole big boat by ourselves! By the way, no plastic bags are allow on the boat because all the sea is protected by them and they will not allow any plastic falls into the sea to pollute the water and harm the sea creature so let's respect the rules!

All member here and ready to sail!

Welfie time! We now prefer private tour compare to the join tour we had in Coron! I recommend private tour if your budget allows.

Reach our first destination! But kayak again? Yup, because we are not allow to swim into the Small Lagoon.

Look how clear the water is!

Ready to go into the lagoon!

But... not easy huh... It's so narrow here!

Woohoo! Looks like a paradise!

The place is so beautiful and calm! Lesser crowd compare to Coron which allow us to take picture without being photobombed!

Crystal clear water!

I didn't edit the photo but the kayak looks like it's glowing!

Finally we get to swim in the lagoon!

Kayak jam... I mean traffic jam to go out now.

Next, Big Lagoon! But we can't jump in to swim so we can only take photo here!

Photo taken by our tour guide!

The scene behind a good photo... Look how professional is our tour guide!

Stopping by at Snake Island for lunch!

Got into the water while the crew is preparing our lunch!

Lunch time! They cook so much for just 4 person!

Again, crystal clear is all I can describe the water here!

Our tour guide want us to exercise after lunch so he make us all get down the boat and walk over to the island.

And we start hiking!

So the little hiking lead to this view!

And our professional tour guide start all the photo taking session for us!

That's actually a floating café! Cool huh!

And off to the next destination!

So next destination is... The Cudugnon cave. Queuing to go in as the entrance is small and not easy to go in.

Here we are in the cave!

How beautiful is the inside of the cave! Look at those colours! I always thought caves are only greyish or brownish colour!

How can we not take picture with the beautiful cave right?

Off again!

Almost half day gone and finally there is a little bit of sun! What a weather...

Next, we stop by Pinagbuyutan Island!

Photo taking by my professional tour guide again!

We had fun doing run shot with our tour guide!

Last station, the Seven Commandos Beach for a rest before sailing back to Elnido island.

Cute little boy and his bodyguards!

Since we are at the beach, we have to get ourselves into the water right?

Enjoying the waves!

And soaking ourselves in the water!

Our tour guide intro us the swing!

It was scary at first because we are not sure how steady is the tree! But it was so fun!

Tour ended. Back to our island.

Went shopping around.

Stop by to have some dessert before shopping continues.

Dinner time! We didn't want to go anywhere far so we had dinner just near by our villa. La Plage beachfront restaurant and bar looks like a chill place so we decided to have our dinner there.

Operating hours : 12pm to 10pm ( Monday to Friday )

A pool that nobody swims located in the restaurant.

Beach view table available too but not big enough for us.

Anyway, low tide now so not a beautiful beach view currently.

Whatever it is, cheers first!

Over all food is ok only, I guess the place is good for it's view and drinks, not so much on their food.

Back to villa early and we had some mask party and good night people!

Day 5 :

Good morning! I wish every morning coffee can be like that and with this view!

While the rest is still sleeping, me and alex ( currently chilling at the chair ) went for a swim.

Ok, we spend more then we expected so we have to visit the money changer! Haha!

Back to town to hunt for lunch.

Went to a few restaurant but it's all not open so we decided on this CB café. Name don't sound nice but hoping the food is nice.

A familiar brand!

Ok, although the name of the café don't sound nice but the food is actually nice and most importantly reasonable price!

Coffee time at Kopi Bake for those who have not had their coffee.

After lunch, went exploring the town again.

And tea break time at Teaspot!

Operating Hours : 7.30am to 10pm ( Monday to Sunday )

Very chill and relax place! That's what we wanna do now!

The café dog joining us and sleep beside us!

Dessert to go along with tea but too much for me! ( Not a sweet tooth person at all )

My boba tea time!

And shopping continues after the tea...

Where are we going next?

So initially we came to Las Cabanas beach wanting to watch sunset but the weather is really not at our side so we didn't manage to see any sun set even on our last night in El nido!

No sun set to watch so we just chill at the bar, The Beach Shack.

Operating Hours : 8.30am to 10pm ( Monday to Sunday )

Love the interior of this bar! So chill...

Where ever I go, there will be dog around me and I'm loving it!

Signing off our last night in El Nido!

The villa staff, Mr White came down hill to drive us back with his motorbike but 2 person is too heavy duty for his little bike so we somehow spoilt his bike! We felt so sorry for him but he is so nice and actually he ask his friend over to drive him up so that he can drive a car down to pick us all up again! ( that's the downside of having a good view villa which is up the hill )

Raining at night and we had our little visitor at the door.

Yesterday we had mask party and today? Junk food party!

Hot spicy soup for a raining night! Best way to warm your tummy before sleep! Good night people, last good night El Nido!

Day 6 :

Good morning! Time to go... I will definitely miss this view!

Initially we book a sea plane from Air Juan but just 1 week before our trip, the air line company actually email me saying that our flight got cancelled due to some government rules that they are cutting down their operation on seaplane. But before that, on the same day, just a few hours before I receive that cancelation email, they still email to remind that they are providing a boat transfer and ask us to reach 1 hour before departure! It's fine that they are force to cancel the flight by the government but the only thing that I'm unhappy with is, when they cancelled the flight, they didn't give any solution to us! I have to do overseas call to them and ask what are they going to do because we need to catch another flight to Clark at Coron and from Clark, another flight back to Singapore! 1 day later, they finally give us a solution, which is flying us off from Taytay Sandoval Airport which is 2-3 hours car ride from our villa and good thing that they arranged the transfer for us to the airport too.

This is the Taytay Sandoval Airport!

This is seriously by far the smallest airport I have been! And guess what? The airport door is not even open! A airport that has no chair and table!

No ticket need and here's our flight!

Ok, it look like our private jet now.

First time sitting so close to the pilot!

So we accidentally booked the whole plane! Looks like our own private jet isn't it?

Nice view and good bye El  Nido!

Back to Coron airport and breakfast at Kadaboran Mini Fastfood place just right beside the airport before our flight.

We are kind of addicted to this sizzling dish!

What?! Are you kidding me? Received an email saying that our flight got cancel only 3 hours before our flight! I have to say that Philippines airline, being such a big company are not any better then Air Juan seriously.

The flight got cancelled, airport was flooded with people who was already there but to release their flight got cancelled, yet they still do things slowly and make the people waiting more frustrated! And again they only tell us the flight is cancelled but they didn't give any solution. They will not compensate anything to us, no meal, no accommodation if we choose to stay 1 more night in Coron! What's worse? We have another flight to catch in Clark back to Singapore! After questioning them, all they can say is, they will on hold our tickets until the next available flight and they do not know when... this seriously left us speechless! I totally understand that the flight is being cancel due to weather ( but at that time it was only drizzling and they staff insisted that the plane cannot fly due to the weather! ), but as a well known international airline, they need to train their staff and handle the situation better!

Now, finally they are safe to fly after waiting for 2 hours! Here's all people is waiting for their flight.

Flight cancel, chaotic at the airport, need a cup of coffee to calm myself now!

Finally we can go but very sure we gonna miss our next flight back to Singapore!

Obviously due to that flight cancelled turn flight delayed flight from Coron, we missed our flight back to Singapore. We have to last minute book a hotel in Clack to stay 1 night there. ( and we all have to take urgently leave at work... ) We just wanted a cheap hotel and not far away from airport, and Ritz Hotel ( not that Ritz we all know... ) is the only one that seems to be better.

We only booked 1 room for 4 person because it's big enough and because we don't want to spend anymore money after buying another expensive ticket back to Singapore!
The room looks ok...

With a small kitchen...

Toilet seems ok too BUT no hot water! We had to do cold shower for tonight! ( The hotel staff did came to fix but they couldn't do anything... )

Is this hair dryer even safe to use?!

Although we had a crazy day today, but since we can't change anything, we choose to enjoy the extra ( yet expensive ) holiday! We decided to go to Diamond Seafood restaurant, which is walking distance from our hotel to have a big feast to make ourselves happy!

Operating Hours : 11am to 3pm, 5pm to 11pm ( Monday to Sunday )

It seems to be a Chinese restaurant.

Set B for us!

Yup we ordered a lot but we still manage to finish it because all the dishes is yummy! The chef is actually a Korean!

Club just right opposite our hotel! Luckily it's not too noisy from our room.

Day 7 :

Good morning! Time to head off to the airport!

Before heading to the airport, we walk over to The Coffee Academy to grab some coffee and sandwich for breakfast.

Coffee is nice, sandwich doesn't have the Instagram-able look but actually taste good.

Back to Clark airport and what else they want from us beside the terminal fee right? Oh well well, this time is flying out of Philippines already so the terminal fees is higher also, at 600 peso (SG$7.90).

OMG!!! Just let us go home!!! Flight delay again!

Finally! Let's go!

Bye Philippines, Coron and El Nido! Everything is good beside the super heavy rain, cancelled flight, delayed flight and the countless paying of terminal fees!
