Korea Day 8 & 9 : Shopping at Sinchon and eat at Gwangjang market like the Running Man

Day 8 :

Breakfast at Hollys Coffee to start our day! Shop around Myeongdong area before heading to somewhere else.

Having our lunch at Hongdae area again. Pass by Burger Bay and they sell HUGE burger so we went in wanting to try.

Nice interior.

After reading the menu, we realise that they only sell beef burger and because I don't eat beef so we left the place without trying. ( Sorry ladies!  ) The owner say they will try to sell other type of burger beside beef burger in the future. Hope they really do so that I could go back to try it.

We went shopping around and asked one of the shop assistant for some good restaurant to recommend and she recommend us this Italian restaurant, Solemio which is located above 'Beyond'.

Another nice restaurant found at Hongdea!

Surprisingly their food is nice! Good recommendation from the local!

After lunch at Hondae, time for some shopping at Sinchon! A shopping street for youngster with more affordable pricing items. Ewha Woman University is there too.

How to go : Ewha woman university station, Exit 1, walk straight and turn right into the first street.

I went to the Cafe Noriter which is at the street after you turn right in during my last year trip and thought that it is a cute and cosy cafe to chill with a group of friends. Do try if you pass by it. ( refer to my previous Korea trip for picture of the cafe ) We ended up spending our evening there shopping.

Dinner time! We are going to Gwangjang Market for dinner. Gwangjang is a very local market that sells lots of local food there. Mainly locals go there to eat until Korea variety show ' Running Man ' ( Running Man Vs CNBlue ) did their shooting there, more and more tourist went there to eat too.

How to go : Jongno 5 Ga Station, Exit 9 & 10.

Many locals here. I guess it will be more happening in the morning when all other shops other then the food store are open. They sell textile there too but it's already close when we were there at night.

Kimchi selling there too.

Many many food store to choose for!

Our 1st stall : Dumpling soup!

We ordered a bowl for 4 of us and the boss are a bit unhappy. Haha! We wanted to try other stall too so we dare not order too much if not we will be too full to continue.

 2nd Stall : Local delights!

Kimbap!

Spicy rice cake a.k.a Ddukbokki!

Korea pig trotter. Very different from Singapore's pig trotter, it's serve cold but taste is good.

The actual Kimbap store that the Running Man had eaten.

3rd stall : Korean pancake!

There is 2 stall located next to each other but we choose the one which is on our right when we are facing them. This stall's ahjuma is more friendly then the one on the left.

We follow the signboard inside Gwangjang market to the Cheonggyecheon Stream. When you follow the signboard, you will come out from this exit of the Gwangjang market. cross the road and you will be able to see the stream, but if you want to go down to the stream, turn right and walk straight till the main road and you can walk down.

The beautiful Cheonggyecheon Stream.

Ok! We are leaving tomorrow so back to hotel to pack! The scariest moment during a trip. So now I'm going to pack all this into my luggage! Fighting ( Korean way of saying Jia You )!

Packing part 1 : Clothes that i bought there.

 Packing part 2 : Cosmetics!

Packing part 3 : Food!

Day 9 :

Having our last morning coffee in Korea at Mango Six cafe.

After coffee, time to leave. We got too many luggage that they can't fit in any cab anymore so we decided to take the airport bus to the airport. The bus stop is at the main road outside our hotel ally, about 3-5 mins walk. Bus ride is about an hour only.

We came with only 4 luggage for 4 person and we are going back with that many luggage!

OOPS! That's mine!

My luggage!

We checked in, taken our air tickets but didn't check in our luggage cause we are bringing to another counter to do the tax refund check.

The tax refund check is just next to the Lotteria. If you are going to do a tax refund, you have to bring your item to let the people at the counter to check and get a chop. If your item is already in the luggage, you have to bring your luggage there and this is why we check in our luggage there and not at the ticket check in counter.

Check and chop.

Then you check in your luggage.

3 different tax free company. I will suggest you to fill up the tax refund form and sort out the different company before you reach the airport to save your time. This 2 company is used at most of the retailer, therefore it is always with long queue. The 3rd company is at the other side and it is a self refund machine.

Lunch at Lotteria before boarding.

Taking the train to our gate and here's the end of our Korea trip!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading. Please look forward to next Korea trip or next destination!
