Fishing Trip at Kelong With Daddy again ~

Day 1:

Hello! Here comes my annual fishing trip with my dad! We are going to Ah Huat Kelong again. Initially we suppose to leave Singapore early in the morning as what we always do, but there is some miscommunication in our booking because the person whom we always book from left the Kelong and didn't actually inform them about our booking so the Kelong actually didn't know that we have book a trip there and of course they do not have any car to fetch us in the morning as they went other place to fetch other people. They then arrange a car in the afternoon to fetch us but due to the jam, they ended up coming in the evening to bring us there. Luckily, the jam in the evening is not that bad but as usual their working attitude is very chillax.

Sometimes I pity the Malaysian... Look at their queue VS ours ( where I am standing right now )! They are actually using the machine scanning but I don't understand why it took them so long and the queue don't seems to be moving. Isn't the machines suppose to make things work faster?

After clearing at the Malaysia custom, head straight to the jetty. Supposingly we need 3 to 3.5 hours to reach the jetty. But the driver was so fast that we reach there within 2 hours. The surrounding at the jetty changes so much within a year! All the houses around there are gone. Heard that the government wanted to use the jetty as a private jetty for people to park their yacht. This place looks even more quiet now.

Even the jetty is quiet.

Our first time taking boat at night and we all look like some refugees! Haha!

Ok... Safety first!

Dinner serve at 11pm plus! Lucky they still keep our share, if not I guess we will starve to death!

After dinner, my dad and friend start to fish. Look at those fish! So many!

Our sleeping area. The Kelong had expended the place so this is the new wing and bed are newer..

Time to relax, enjoying the breeze while my dad and his friend is fishing beside me.

I saw on this Korea variety show, Jungle Rules, they used a fishing net to catch fish so I told my dad to try putting the fish net overnight to see if we could catch any crab or fish.

Day 2 :

Good morning! The view once I open my eyes! Feels good lazing on the bed with a nice view!

Another beautiful morning view!

Remember the fish net that me and my dad put yesterday? Yeah! A big fish swim in and got stuck in there! Our group first big catch and the credit goes to........ the fish net! A few people ( other guest ) saw it and was amaze by it because they have been here for 3 days and they could not catch such a big fish! Haha! So proud of the net!

Ok after the happy moment, time for breakfast! As usual, nasi lemak for every breakfast...

New friend found in the Kelong! He loves cucumber! That's me giving him a cucumber and he is camera shy... Haha!

He got two peanut and he ended up throwing away cause he still prefer the cucumber.

Fishing time again! Super nice weather!

Look what other people caught! There is a group of people who went out for night fishing and they got quite a few big catch and they actually manage to catch a sting ray!

Time for me to prepare my fishing bite! I'm going to catch a vegetarian fish who only eats corn! Haha!

My fishing time!

My catch, the vegetarian fish, white tummy fish!

Lunch time.

I love their crab! The way they cook is just so nice! How I wish my mum can come along to taste it and try to cook but too bad she doesn't like Kelong.

Oops... Looks like it's going to rain soon! Everyone else went out to fish and I get to enjoy my 'me time' while taking care of their belonging!

Time break from fishing and finding other entertainment with my favorite chips!

And a cup of tea while enjoying the beautiful and quiet view!

While the rest is having dinner, I'm having coffee cause my dad and his friend is not back from their fishing trip yet so I have to wait for them.

A boat came back and I thought that it's my dad but nope!
I manage to capture a nice view with the boat.

Sun is setting and back to my drama!

I got a big friend to accompany me while I watch my drama! Ok... Maybe a not so welcomed friend...

Finally they are back and our dinner is served!

My dad giving the monkey a massage! The monkey enjoy it so much!

So I join in to give the monkey a massage! What a good life monkey!

I really like this view and the color of the sky! Gonna miss this kinds of calmness once we leave the Kelong!

Soon the sky become dark again... Our last night at the Kelong.... Time pass so fast....

Anyway supper time!

And not forgetting the BBQ!

We brought too many sweet corn, thinking that there is a lot of fish for us to catch, but we ended up eating the rest of the corn ourselves cause there isn't many fish!

Oops! I think I over cooked it! Haha! I am totally bad at cooking as you can see!

And the monkey get it eat some corn too...

My dad teaching the monkey how to eat slowly! Haha!

Enjoying our last night in different way! My dad's friend sitting outside to enjoy the breeze and chit chats while I'm slacking on the bed.

Day 3:

After the same nasi lemak breakfast, time to enjoy my morning coffee, beautiful view and the sun!

And my dad start fishing again!

Taking the first and last group picture of the trip.

Candid shot! Haha! My dad is telling me something ( while his friends is taking couple picture behind ) and he didn't know I'm taking this picture.

Last view of the Kelong and back to the concrete world again! And good luck to us for the jam at the custom...

My dad's friends didn't get any big fish so they ended yo buying from the Kelong! Haha! According to them, it's cheaper here then buying in the market...

Before we go, our last lunch at the Kelong!

Last view of the Kelong!

Back to the jam after another 2 hrs of super fast car ride.
Anyway manage to reach home in time to watch the live national parade!
Happy 50th birthday Singapore!
