I Love Taiwan Day 6 & 7 : Praying, last min shopping, non stop eating and back home

DAY 6 :

Had pork burger from McDonald for breakfast today!

After our breakfast, we took a cab to this temple to pray.
This Taipei Xia Hai Cheng Hua Miao is famous for people to pray for ' love '. Not only for single, but married couple came to pray for their marriage too.

After the praying, took cab to this Peter Rabbit Café for our tea time!

Operating Hours:
Week days - 11am to 10pm
Weekends - 8.30am to 10 pm

The place was quite empty when we where there but not long after its totally full due to its lunch time. I guess their lunch menu should be not bad if not the café will not be full too.

 Everything is Peter Rabbit.

My [ Cappuccino ] ( NT$180 = SG$7.60 ).

Teresa's [ Kumquat grapefruit tea ] ( NT$180 = SG$7.60 )

And our small brownie.

How to go : Zhong Xiao Fu Xing station, Exit 3 and 3 mins walk ( opposite Sogo ).

After our tea break, we went over to Sogo ( Pacific branch ) to do some shopping and then take the train to Taipei main station to shop at their K Mall and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi.

The Daiso at K Mall is really big! They got everything there and the Daiso there is slightly cheaper than Singapore and some of the item you never see in Singapore Daiso too.

How to go : Taipei Main Station, Exit 6, 2 mins walk.

I love to shop at their supermarket!

I always come to the supermarket at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi to have my favourite Taiwan maggie mee and coffee stock up!

How to go : Taipei Main station, Exit 6, 2 mins walk and its next to K mall.

Went back hotel to put our things and decided to shop at Xi Men Ding for today. We have not really shop at Xi Men Ding cause we thought that we stay at this area so we can shop there on our last 2 days.

Saw another cute doggie in one of the shop next to our hotel.

Been to Taiwan for a few times and yet I have not been into this Red House before so we decided to go in to have a look.

The Red Building is a ' Arts Building ', they sell mostly their own designer brand and local hand made craft.

How to go : Xi Men Station, Exit 1, Cross the road in front of the exit and 1 min walk.

Lunch time! Had lunch at one of the famous goose meat restaurant at Xi Men Ding. A cab driver recommend us to eat there.

Yummy!!

Noodle to go along with the yummy goose meat.

Mince pork rice!

How to go : Xi Men station, Exit 6, 5 mins walk along the main road till you see it.

Buying more and more of this and I'm going to bring all this back to Singapore! Put everything back to hotel, rest a bit and ready for our next destination.

In the evening, we went to the 'must go' night market, Shi Lin Night Market!

Still quite early so its lesser crowded but at a later time, it will become super crowed till you will have difficulty in walking. Shi Lin night market is a good place to shop and eat.

How to go : Jian Tan station, Exit 1, walk straight and cross the road.

Back to Xi Men Ding for some late snacks and dessert.

Ji Guang Xiang Xiang Ji is also one of their famous fried chicken in Taipei. Long queue again...

While queuing and waiting for your chicken, the staff will keep entertaining by singing or chit chatting to each other using their mini mic. Not sure how entertaining people will think but I personally find its noisy.

Voted as 1 of the 40 Taiwanese food people can't live without! Try it if you sees it.

How to go : Xi Men station, Exit 6, 2 mins walk.

Lastly, we went to +Mango ChaCha  to have mango snow ice as dessert for our last night in Taiwan.

How to go : Xi Men station, Exit 6, About 5 mins walk along the main road. ( same way as the goose meat restaurant and Mirada department store )

Back to hotel to pack our luggage... Going back home tomorrow...  :(

After all the packing, we had cup noodle as our last supper in Taiwan!

DAY 7 :

Was thinking to have our brunch just near our hotel cause we will be heading to the airport soon. Before leaving the hotel, I happen to read my email and I received an email from Scoot, saying that our flight has been delay from 3.35pm to 5.20pm.
Since our flight has been delayed for almost 2 hours, we thought that we can go further to have our brunch.

We decided to go to the 1st Loccitane café in Asia to try out their food. In this Loccitane café, not only they sell food, but also their Loccitane product so after eating you can still shop for your favourite shower gel and hand cream!

We ordered the Petit Set which included our choice of sandwich, appetizer, soup of the day and our choice of drink that is under NT$180. We just need to top up an extra NT$100 ( SG$4.20 ) on top of the price of the sandwich we choose for the Petit Set.

My [ Black Tea with Orange Fruit ]

[ Rose Tea ]

[ The Lavender Flavoured Chicken Croissant ] ( NT$220 = SG$9.20 ) and my petit set ( NT$220 + NT$100 = NT$320, SG$13.50) .

This lavender chicken is seriously yummy!

The appetizer : Pumpkin

When we ask for the bill, the friendly staff bring over their hand made cookies to us while we wait for the change. Taste good too.

P/s: The hand gel and lotion use in their washroom are also Loccitane product too! You can use it for free and if you like it, you can purchase when you pass by their shop, on your way out.

How to go : Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall station, Exit 3, Walk straight for about 5 mins till you see it.

Went back to Xi Men Ding to shop a bit. Saw [ Stage ], a fashion brand owns by a Taiwanese celebrities, Show Luo Zhi Xiang. Went in to have a look but didn't manage to buy anything as I'm already broke. Haha!

Back to hotel to claim back our luggage and off to the airport. Time flies, so fast 7 days past and its time to go back home! I will definitely come back again to explore more of Taiwan! See you again Taiwan, I will be back!
