Day 5 :
Breakfast is not provide because the hotel have no restaurant, but since it's my dad's friend's hotel, she asked her staff to cook us some breakfast and they set up dinning table in one of the guest room. So off we go to Tian You Feng ( Tian You Peak ) which is just near by our hotel and also one of the must visit place at Wu Yi Shan area.
Here we are at the Wu Yi Shan!
How can we miss a group photo in front of the Wu Yi Shan right?
Gonna take this train to the entrance of Tian You Feng.
Off we go!
Gonna take this train to the entrance of Tian You Feng.
Off we go!
If you got no confident to climb up the Tian You Feng, you can use the easy and comfortable way which is actually pay to take this sedan up! No price written there so I have no idea how much it will cost but one thing I'm sure is it will definitely very expensive!
Walking towards the Tian You Feng.
Walking in between caves gives you a peacefulness ( ? )... It's quiet and cooling.
This is the Tian You Feng and its standing at 408.8m tall.
We really wanna see the view from the top so all of us ( yes! Including all the aunties and uncles ) decided to take the 848 steps!
By right it's a one way only but some people gave up half way and wanted to walk down from where we was up which is actually quite dangerous! But China people don't follow rules ( ok maybe not all... ) and we are not surprise right?
Half way there already ( I think? )!
Yup that red arrow shows where the top is! More to go i guess...
Finally reached the top! The view is breath taking ( but by the time I reached the top I am also almost breathless! Haha! )!
Ok.. This red bottle taste extremely good after we complete the mission!
We bought some wishing tag and ribbon to hang on the tree.
Time to walk back down!
It says, Number one mountain!
There is one Tao Yuan Dong here too but actually it's a different one that we went before.
Live painting stall on the way down, very impressive!
We are starving so off we head for our lunch! I really like Mr Wei's choice of restaurant as there is no tourist ( at all ), which means food are more local and reasonable!
Address : Qiyun Ave, Wuyishan Shi, Nanping Shi, Fujian Sheng, China

Look at this BIG portion of rice! Omg... they really love to eat rice and when we told the staff that this bowl will share among both table and she insist that it's too little for all of us. Haha!
As usual, table are filled with a lots of big portion dishes!
After a super full lunch, heading to the next destination, Jiu Qu Xi. which is where we takes the bamboo rafting.
The bamboo rafting is used in the olden days ( if you do watch China ancient drama or movie ).
Water can actually flow into the raft! Lucky there is a place to put our feet on without wetting out shoe. Oh ya they do sell foot cover outside at 1RMB ( SG$0.20 ) per pair if you are really afraid hat your shoe might get wet.
Yeah, here we go! The whole journey takes about 1.5 hours. There is also a weight limited per raft depending on the water level of the day. Today's water level is low so instead of the usual 6 person, we can only have 5 person today.
Bring along some fish food ( can buy outside at the entrance ) to feed the fish there.
Beautiful view!
Oh ya, if you want to know about the story and history about the caves that you pass by, just tips the rafter and he will tell you a lot of interesting things about the caves.
This is the big rock that we were taking picture yesterday!
Pass by those shop that was close yesterday and today the shops are all open.
After walking around, went back to hotel to bath because we all sweat so much and stinks a lot!
Randomly the aunties and uncles start to walk backwards up the slope and they say it's less tired walking in this way. How true? I don't know because I'm walking normally ( if not I can't take this picture too right? ).
It's a farm restaurant with a very nice view!
Our room with the best view!
After dinner, we went to Impression Da Hong Pao Theatre to watch their famous play which is directed by the famous international Chinese film director, Zhang Yi Mo.
Address : Dawangfeng Rd, Wuyishan Shi, Nanping Shi, Fujian Sheng, China

Got our ticket and ready for their number 3121's show!
But the crowd though...
Get ready of the show!
I'm totally impress by the stage effect! The audience seats will rotate to another stage as the plays goes. P/S : I secretly took these picture but by right we are not allow to do it.
Because this show is talking about tea so at the end of the show, the actress and actor will offer tea to people who is sitting at the side.
Walking back to car park takes quite awhile too...
Actually our hotel is also near the theater. So less then 5 mins by our bus, we reached our hotel.
Went downstairs to buy some snacks and drinks for supper.
Went downstairs to buy some snacks and drinks for supper.
And good night!
Day 6 :
Good morning and it's breakfast time again! The hotel manage bought us some coffee after seeing us bringing our own coffee for breakfast everyday. So sweet of her!
Today I was early so I manage to take a picture of the breakfast before it's gone. Too bad no one else can taste except us so don't expect to have the same breakfast here!
Off we go! But of course not by this... Haha!
Back here again! But visiting different cliff and cave inside. Anyway our tickets is unlimited trips in and out here for a few days.
Today is a more relax day with lesser itinerary. First we went to Yi Xian Tian ( again? ). It's actually not the same Yi Xian Tian as the one at Tao Yuan Dong but with the same concept. It is also a very narrow cave hole for people to walk through. This Yi Xian Tian is said to be the narrowest with just 30cm wide and longest with 176 metre.
But honestly speaking, the Yi Xian Tian at Tao Yuan Dong is much narrower but not as long and steep as this one.
Done with the Yi Xian Tian and off we go.
Autumn is here?
Beautiful butterfly stop by to have a rest with us!
Next, we head to Hu Xiao Yan, and this time round only left me, my dad and another auntie are willingly to climb up the mountain. The rest are too tired to climb already so they went to the river side to wait for us. Haha.
Hu Xiao Yan, which is named during the legendary era, said that when the wind blow towards the cave, it actually sounds like tiger roaring so they name it Hu Xiao ( tiger's roar ) Yan ( cave ).
Walking in the woods definitely makes you feels good! Ok, I mean at least for me...
Putting a branch under the big rock is said that relieve you back pain! Believe or not, it's up to you but no harm trying so we did ( and put one more for my mum and sister who didn't come along )!
Beautiful view up there!
The peak is close due to some renovation work going on, so we went to see the Guan Yin ( Goddess of Mercy ).
We did too.
We also bought the wishing ribbon to hang it here!
Down the hill now to meet the rest of the people.
It's lunch time again and we are back to the same restaurant as yesterday again.
After lunch, we went to see the mother seed of the famous Da Hon Pao tea leaves. Only people who drink Chinese tea will know how expensive a good quality Da Hong Pao is but not sure is that the most expensive tea leaves in the tea market.
Before reaching, we pass by a lot other different tea leaves plantation too and they smells so good.
So this is the mother seed of the famous expensive Da Hong Pao.
Looks like a tea house to me but not sure what is this place.
Since you are at a protected natural enviroment, for sure you get to see these around but they are harmless so please don't kill them! We let it go once I took this picture.
After seeing the famous tea leaves, we went to have some foot therapy to
pamper our over worked poor feet that has been climbing up and down
different mountain this few days! The driver drop some of the people at
the massage place, Ju Fu Yuan, while some who choose to do the message after dinner
back to the hotel to rest. My dad and I went back to the hotel to change
into shorts and walk back to the message place. It's about 10-15mins
walk from our hotel only. Ju Fu Yuan is actually next to the KTV place we went yesterday.
Foot massage at 78RMB ( SD$16.20 ) but the actual price written on the price list are more expensive. Not sure is it because we booked by a big group or because it's booked by our hotel manger therefore it's cheaper.
Foot massage at 78RMB ( SD$16.20 ) but the actual price written on the price list are more expensive. Not sure is it because we booked by a big group or because it's booked by our hotel manger therefore it's cheaper.
The massage place is quite big.
We soak our feet in this bucket of herb water first.
Next, they will do cupping! So cool! It's my first time seeing cupping for foot massage and it's my first cupping experience too!
Lastly it's the massage time! Their massage is so good! Love the masseur's strength!
Walk back to our hotel, change again and off we go for dinner. While waiting for everyone to come down, tea session again!
I have to repeat again I really love all the restaurant that Mr Wei arrange because it's very unique and most important no other tourist! I hate going to restaurant that have many tourist and ended up their food is not as nice and very expensive!
Anyway, today's restaurant is another farm restaurant!
Before dinner, they do a small performance for us by showing how they make the mua chee, they call it Ma Zhi Guo by the way.
This is the Mua Chee they were doing just now and it's so so so good! They coat the warm mua chee with black sesame and sugar! It doesn't stick onto your teeth or throat. So so so much better then the one we had the other day at the rest stop!
After dinner, they arrange a camp fire for us! It was drizzling but stops after awhile and the aunties and uncles starts to dance around the camp fire! Some were singing too! So cute right? We really had a fun night on our last night at Wu Yi Shan! I guess you might not experience this if you are with those typical tour.
Went back to our hotel while some went for their massage session. As usual, once we are back, they will invite us for tea session. I can't even remember how many tea session we had each day! Haha! But the people really love to host their guest with tea so we shall not reject them too.
And they were teaching me how to make a proper traditional tea! Haha! Fail I guess? But fun!
First, you pour hot water into the cup filled with tea leaves...
Then you filter the tea leaves using the cup lid and pour the tea into another tea pot with filter on top too.
This is how the tea will look like after all the filter and pouring here and there.
Tea are ready to serve into small tea cups now!
My first cup of tea made by myself!
After the tea session, me and my dad went to the supermarket to grab something back got my colleagues. Food here are not expensive so I bought a lot of snacks back! Luckily I brought my own recycle bag because they charge for plastic bag.
Cute mini watermelon! I wonder will it taste sweet?
Anyway back to hotel, enjoy my drinks and good night!
