 Day 5 :

After breakfast we went to walk around since the weather is so good today.

I hope I can stay like this for whole day!

Well... no matter it's 5 luggage or 7 luggage, we still manage to squeeze into a taxi boot!

I totally not idea where is this place! It's just a random place that Ming Ge thinks is nice and want us to alight to take photo! Haha!

No idea what is this place for but it looks like it's a recreation area for the natives.

And again I have no idea where is this place! Haha!

Ok, after all the unknown place, here we are at the Ocean and Sky Trail ( 親不知子海上古道 ).

Trail walk starts and it's totally not scary!

To be honest, this place is not worth coming. The glass walk is so dirty and basically it look like any other normal walk way. The glass walk way is like super short also! Like maybe 50m only? We took like 3 mins ( including photo taking ) to finish walking the whole trail?

After finish the not so interesting trail walk, we will have to walk through this tunnel back to the entrance.

The tunnel sells some drinks and food too.

Oh ya show our entrance ticket and we are able to get 40NTD ( SG$1.80 ) discount for coffee.

Ok! Continue going to some unknown place again! Haha!

Although it's unknown because it is just by the road side and inside some empty field but it's really nice.
But thanks to goggle map, I happen to see the name of this place and it's call Xin She Rice Terrace ( 新社梯田 ) ! So basically this is a rice field!

Next, Ming Ge drop us at the Nv Wa Niang Niang Temple ( 女媧娘娘廟 ). Nv Wa Niang Niang is famous for love and relationship so said that if you pray in the temple for your love life, everything will go smoothly.

After lunch, time for some exercise at Shi Ti Ping ( 石梯坪遊憩風景區 ) Trail walk  ( trail again? ).

Last stop before reaching today's accommodation, Rui Sui Farm ( 瑞穗牧場 ).

The farm there sell food, snacks and also product that is made by cow milk.

Warm milk bun that a lot of people say it's nice but honestly speaking nothing special about it. Maybe I'm more particular with breads and bun?
 

Milk ice cream is ok, can really taste the taste of the milk.

After eating all the food made of milk, now we gonna pay a visit to the milk contributor! Haha!

Reached our mingsu for today, Qing Ding Ai Qing Hai B&B ( 情定愛琴海民宿 )!

It's a small mingsu with just a few rooms but all rooms are with different theme!

Our room! Actually we booked this "Santorini" room but because this room is at the highest level and as usual, there is not lift in the house so we decided to forgo this room and take the room at level 2.
When we check in the boss told us there is nobody else staying tonight so we can choose any room we want!

Even though we forgo this room, the boss is still very nice to ask us to have a look at the room that we booked before thinking to get the lower floor room.
This room is so beautiful! I love every detail of the decoration in the room.

Even the bathroom they make it blue.

The other reason why we initially booked this room is because of this big balcony and this is the only room that has a big balcony! I totally can imagine us sitting outside to chill! Anyway, it's raining now so even we stay in this room, we can't use the balcony as well.

So... We decided to stay in the "Bali" room, simple but still nice and big room.

No big balcony but most of the room still comes with this small balcony.

Once we settle the room, we went straight out to hunt for dinner and after a few round of drive in the town area, we realize most of the shop and restaurant has closed already and we are left with this Huo Li Ji Ruo Fan ( 火力雞 嘉義火雞肉飯 ).

And basically they are closing soon too and they left only a few side dish for us to order.

So this is the main chicken rice. Not bad... but can't compare with the Singapore chicken rice.

After dinner, shopping time ( again? )!
Ming Ge told us this Zeng Ji ( 曾記麻糬 ) is the most famous mua chee ( mochi ) brand in Hualien so we went in to buy some to bring back home.

Back to our mingsu to rest.
Before the boss leave the mingsu, she told us that since nobody is staying, we can feel free to have a look at the rest of the room she offer! So while we take turn to bath, I went to have a look at all the rooms.

Anyway tour ends, time to go back to "Bali" to bath and good night!

Day 6 :

Good morning!

This mingsu also doesn't provide breakfast in the house but the boss gives the breakfast voucher to redeem our breakfast at Wan Jia Xiang ( 萬佳鄉早餐店 ) which is just 1 min walk from the B&B.

Their breakfast is not as exciting or big as the Hong Ye that we had the day before but taste not bad.

Unexpected destination! We are running out of money already so it's time to change some money!
Please note that bank don't open on weekend and not all bank does do Singapore currency exchange. Tomorrow is weekend already so we have to change by today.

We are so excited to see what we got until the staff in the 7-11 join us to see what we get and some still ask did we get what we want! Haha!

Bye bye Taroko National Park!

This is a very beautiful unknown place! How we got here? Actually there is a landslide on our way so the road was block for a while waiting for the people to clear the road. While waiting, we decided to go to the nearest public toilet and we accidentally saw this beautiful view at the toilet area!

Since we still need to wait for the road to be clear, we shall spend some time to take picture with the beautiful view!

Road cleared, journey continues and here we are at the Nan Fang Ao overlook deck (南方澳觀景臺 ) .

We had seafood the other day just below there!

Trying to take a proper picture but the wind is totally not helping at all... Haha! All our hair is in a mess and this is the best picture among of the many taken!

Seafood lunch again! Drove down back to the fishing port again from the overlook deck.
This time round Ming Ge choose Xin Hai Lou ( 新海樓活海產餐廳 ) .

We went to the Nan Fang Ao fish market ( 南方澳觀光漁市場 ) to get our seafood and sashimi and the restaurant will cook for us!

Back to restaurant for lunch! By the way This big plate of sashimi cost only 250NTD ( SG$11.50 )! I don't eat sashimi but I know that you will not be able to get this much of it with that price in Singapore!

After a heavy lunch, we went to the bridge to have a scroll to disgust our food.

There is also a 3D art museum and it's free entry so we decided to go in to have a look.

Basically the whole museum is this big only! No wonder it's free right?

Outside have the 3D painting as well.

Next, Ming Ge brought us to Yilan Cake Factory ( 宜蘭餅發明館 ) buy some Yilan's local snacks.
One of the famous one will be the Niu She Bing ( ox tongue ) but it got nothing to do with beef or cow even though the name has "niu" ( cow )!

Before getting the biscuit, we took some picture with the cute display outside first.

Ok, time to shop!

I tried the sample and found the original version of the niu she bing is quite yummy so I bought some back home to let my parents try.

Coffee treat from Ming Ge on the way to next destination because it's buy 1 get 1 free with 7-11 and I'm the only one who is a coffee addict!

Guess where we are now?
We are at the Lucky Art Crayon Factory ( 蜡藝蠟筆城堡 )! Isn't those giant crayon look cute? It just bring us back some childhood memory, don't they?

So this place is like a crayon museum! There is place for you to make your own crayon...

and lots of different type of crayon for you to buy!

Bear with us... We just loves all the giant colorful crayon!

Continue to buy local snacks and this time round will pork floss but this shop, Si Ji ( 四季香肉鬆 ) do sell others snacks too. The pork floss is very crispy and when they pack for us, it's is still warm!

Last stop before heading back to Taipei is this bakery shop ( 樂禾烘焙西瓜吐司 ) !

Tada! This bakery is famous because of their watermelon toast and bread!

Haha! Those turtle are very cute too!

We bought one of the watermelon bread to try.
 Basically the look and the taste doesn't match, which means this watermelon bread doesn't taste like watermelon.
By the way, only Yilan has this bakery and this is the one and only one outlet in Yilan!

Finally reach Taipei! Check in our hotel at Just Sleep Hotel ( 捷絲旅台北西門館 ) which is located at Xi Men Ding!

Room are big enough to sleep 4 but the only issue is we need to have some skill to open all luggage at the same time! Haha!

Last destination that Ming Ge bring us to will be this famous sunny cake brand, Ru Yi Tang ( 如邑堂台北開封店 ), which is originally from Taizhong! Heard that this is the first outlet that is not in Taizhong!

When you go in, they will bring a plate of sample to try.

And they even serve tea!

After trying their sample, just write your order on the order list and pass to the staff, pay and they will start to pack for you.
Actually they do delivery as well but you need to order 2 days in advance.

We didn't buy that much like the other customer there but still quite a decent quantity! Haha!
By the Way, their lemon cake is really nice!

Took a cab to our dinner place but there is still some time to our reservation time so we went to walk around and saw the Le Creuset shop selling the Le Creuset X Hello Kitty collection. Different from the one that we exchange in 7-11, those are the one that is the high quality ones and can hold hot food. We didn't buy of course because it's too expensive!

Finally it's dinner time! We make a reservation at Wu Lao Guo ( 無老鍋 ) way before we reach to Taiwan. Heard that it's good so we are here to try!

The soup is really not bad! We had 1 side spicy and 1 side not and those 4 cone shape thing is actually their famous frozen tofu which is one of the 'must try' there.

Meat is fresh too. They are actually like Hai Di Lao, every dish you order are at different price, so we didn't dare to order too many dish! Haha!

After dinner, we took cab back to Xi Men Ding to shop around.

And from Xi Men Ding, we walk about 15 mins to the 24hr Carrefour ( 家樂福桂林店 ) to buy some food to bring back home for friends and fmily!
The weather is so good so we don't mind walking there.

Cab back to hotel to rest even though it's walking distance but we bought too many things, it's too heavy for us to carry and walk back.
We decided to cut our watermelon bread to see how does it look like! So cute right? But it just taste like normal bread... Haha!
Anyway, after trying the bread, time to say good night people!
