Brisbane 2016 Day 3 & 4 : Maleny Dairy Farm -> Montville -> Kenilworth -> Coolum Beach -> Brisbane City -> Queen Street

Day 3 :

Good morning! Breakfast time!

Daily coffee fixed with a pool view!

After breakfast off we go! Guess where we are going?

Tada! Here we are at the Maleny Dairies farm!

Address :

What a nice weather at the farm!

We book at farm tour at the counter there at Aud11 (SGD$11.50). There is timing for the tour and we are just in time for the 1pm tour.

Walking around before the tour starts. Saw lots of kids there! Mainly brought there by their school.

Asher got excited when he saw all the big animal that always only appear in the books!

Not as excited for us but still need to take welfie with the cow! Haha!

So the tour start! We went into their factory where they produce milk everyday. From fresh milk to flavor milk to yogurt!

And we went to visit the cow after watching a video of the farm. The staff ask one of the kid to drink the milk straight from the cow! Haha!

Pet the cow and thank her for all her hard work to provide people fresh milk!

Then, we went to feed the baby cow!

Little farmer learning to feed the baby cow!

I love how all the kids smile when they come in contact with animal which is bigger then them!

And... Feeding the goat and sheep!

Oh ya not forgetting the chicken!

Not forgetting the pig too but we are not allow to feed them. They were quite angry though, protest by making lots of noise! Haha! And they got scolded by the staff in the end.

Happy kids after feeding the animal for the first time!

 So the tour continues...

This is where the cow will queue up to eat and let the staff squeeze ( by machine ) the milk.

Last but the least... It's tasting time! There will be milk and yogurt for us to taste and if we like it we can buy from the counter.

Went to drive at the scenery drive at the orbi orbi road. There is actually many different scenery drive there. We only choose one to see what kind of scenery is there.

Wanted to go to the cheese farm but they are already close when we reach at around 4pm! I wonder why does the shops and even farm close so early! Don't they need to earn more money?

Went to Montville to find some food for us to eat in the car.

Wanted to try the recommended Poets cafe but the price for our 'just grab and go' food is too expensive. So we ended up buying drinks and some snacks from the supermarket to eat in the car.

We ended up going to the Kenilworth town to walk but all the shops is almost close too! Argh!!

And do we decided to head to Coolum beach which is near to our apartment, to see if we could grab our dinner there.

Asher playing peekaboo with stranger.

Me and my ice cream again!

As usual, shops are close except the restaurant. Wanted to have dinner in one of the restaurant but it's full so we decided to buy some seafood platter from Simons back to our apartment to eat and also cook some other food for our dinner.

Address :
Operating Hours :  11am - 8pm ( Tuesday - Sunday )
( Close on Monday )

 Home made pasta!

Playing with the kids while waiting for dinner time!

Enjoying my 'me time' while all my friends are busy making their kid and babies to sleep.

Day 4 :

Heading back to Brisbane city today!

But before that, we went to Big Top Fresh market. Normally there will be stalls inside the mall where farmer brings their harvest over to sell.

Address :

But there isn't any stalls around?

Even the baby is confuse! Haha!

Not sure why there isn't any farmer's stall but since we are already here, we went into the Woolworth supermarket to see if we could grab another or not. ( of course we can! )

It's a really big supermarket! Totally spoiled for choice for both coffee and tea! Bought back some for both!

After shopping, we walk over to the Red Sea restaurant which is just opposite the Big Top shopping mall.

Address :

Ordered a seafood platte,

And a king prawn creamy rice. Food was good and seafood was fresh!

 Ok... back to Brisbane again!
Checked in our third apartment of the trip, Meriton serviced apartment at Herschel Street.

Address :

The main reason we book this apartment is because this is the highest building and it will be easier for us to see the fireworks festival but the view in our room is not facing the river so which means we could not see the fire works from our room!

Anyway this is the living room.

 Kitchen area.

Bedroom.

Toilet.

Unity room.

After settling down, we drove to Ann street to shop a bit but all the shop is close already. So we drove back to the apartment, leave our car there and walk to queen street mall.

While walking, pass by pie face and stop by to get some pie.

It's Brisbane art festival from 3/9 to 24/9 so we can see few art piece on the street.

Bird crossing the road!

Here we are at the queen street mall. It is not those high building mall we know but a street of shops.

Address :

Saw many happy people dancing on the stage! I guess it's a late night shopping, therefore there is some performance going around.

Went to Myer mall for the Target store.

Address :

We decided to just eat at the food court in Myer mall.

I had Chinese fried rice! Haha! Enough of fish and chips.

Today there is late night shopping so only today the shops at the Queen street mall close at around 9pm. Did I just say late night shopping? Haha. 9pm is still early compare to the mall in Singapore!

Walking back to our apartment.
Pass by these building in different colour lighting which makes them look like they are painted in different colours.

Another art piece. ( sorry for my artistic (blurry) way of taking picture... haha )

Ok! Back to apartment, wash up and time to say good night!
