Day 7 :
We are heading to petite France today. Did a few research on how to go and we choose to take the subway there.
From hongik university station take the gyeongui-jungung line. Supposing we will stop at sangbong do transfer to another train but when we are at cheongnyangni, they announce it's the last station! We got a little bit shock and lost but we just fellow the locals and get down the train. But when everyone got down, they still stand within the place where we alight so we did the same too. We waited for quite awhile for the next to train come and board the train again.
From cheongnyangni, we alight again at sangbong station to transfer to the GyeongChun line.
Waited for another 10 mins for the next train again and while in the train we have to wait for it's depart timing.
While waiting we saw a lot of ahjushi and Ahjuma dress up in their hiking attire and I guess the train we are taking also lead to some beautiful mountain for the locals to go mountain climbing.
Finally after another 45 mins of journey we reach cheongpyeong station.
Felt a bit lost again as this place is so empty with only a few people around. As I know that we can take a bus from the bus stop at exit 2 but we are not sure which bus to take as the signboard are all in korean.
Some kind soul did write the places in chinese but we still not very sure how to and which bus to take.
I remember reading on a blog that there is a tourist information counter near exit 1. we went over but we never see any counter so we ask the subway information counter and the staff just told us to go to the bus stop at exit 2. We asked her which bus should we take but she don't seems to understand us, only ask us to wait at the bus stop. So we went back to the bus stop and wait and while waiting, we thought that we should go over to the convenience store at exit 1 to grab some light breakfast. So while walking over again we saw a small counter near to the exit and there it is, the tourist information counter! We asked the person for direction and she pass us some broucher about petite France and the bus to go there.
Breakfast and some read up while waiting for our bus. It's only two bus stop away from the train station but it took 30 mins to reach.
Finally we see the bus but when we were about to board, they ask us where are we going and when we told him we are going petite France, he told us is the next bus. So again we waited for another bus to arrive.
Once we walk in, we saw all the colourful house and from that moment I really feel like I just step into Europe country.
We fellow the map and visit all the station that was on the map. While we are siting down reading the map, this man start to play some music and it really makes the atmosphere very relaxing and very Europe feel.
My conclusion to this journey to petite France is, do not plan the schedule too tight. Taking train there is not difficult but not easy too cause the waiting time might takes a bit of time and the station there do not have English sign so it's a bit hard to understand which train to take as there might have two or three different type of train within the same platform.
Oops! My phone had a hard day under the sun!
After the petite France, we decided to head to Myeongdong for some late lunch and also we wanted to go to the lotte duty free there to grab some Laneige and Hera.
This place use to be post-it everywhere on the wall but didn't see much after they renovated. This place is also used as one of the dating venue for one of the korean variety show, We got Married. ( only people who watch korean variety show will understand me )
We ordered the set 5 because it's quite late for lunch but early for dinner so we thought that we shall eat more to treat as both meal.
Tada! My lunchbox! It looks like bibimbap after all the shaking!
How to go : myeongdong station exit 6 or euljiro station exit 5. Its above a innisfree, just ask the volunteer who is walking around to help the tourist to look for their way.
Went to lotte duty free at myeongdong to grab some laneige and Hera! Those who came here before will think that I'm crazy to even shop here right? Yes...yes... Yes... I know... I know... the tourist here is crazy... especially the Chinese! But because we are entitled to 10% off all purchase if we use our Visa card here and this makes it cheaper then the other retailer.
Anyway due to this MERS, the lotte duty free are surprisingly empty! This is the first time no people screaming around us to buy things and no need queue to pay at all!
Went back to put our things and head off to express bus terminal ( subway station ) to do some shopping. First time to this place and finds that there is lots of things to see and grab!
How to go : express bus terminal exit 8
Walk over to Gangnam underground shopping mall to continue.
How to go : Gangnam station exit 1 or 12 or walk over from after shopping at express bus terminal
Walk towards hangang park for the famous banpo bridge rainbow fountain. The walk from the subway station to the bridge is really far! I think we had a good 20mins walk there and are afraid that we will miss the performance!
When we finally reach, the music and the rainbow fountain is already ending soon and we thought that's the last show for the day.
But lucky while chilling at the park and taking pictures, the music starts again and we get to watch the whole rainbow fountain performance.
How to go : Dongjak station exit 1 or 2,
or
Express bus terminal exit 8-1

Back to apartment to pack our food in and ready to go! While walking to the train station, saw this ahjuma selling her hand made kimbap! This will make a good breakfast but too bad we had our breakfast and do not have anymore time to enjoy.
