Greece 2019 Day 1 & 2 : Athens -> Voula -> Vouliagmeni Lake -> Mykonos -> Little Venice

Day 1 :

Time for a long holiday! Guess where am I going this time round? Anyway before disclosing where am I going, let me visit SATS airport lounge to have a quick shower first! I came straight to the airport from work and luckily I have 2 complimentary entry per year by the credit card company.

So registration to enter the lounge was fast and a new towel ( Sealed in plastic bag ) handed over to me when I ask the reception about showering in the lounge.

Nice and big lounge here.

Bathroom are very clean! ( well... It's Singapore Airport right? How dirty can this world famous airport can be right? )

There is hair dryer in the showering room too but I actually don't really like this hair dryer because it gets very hot to even hold after using for awhile. I have to switch to another hair dryer when one gets too hot.
Feeling fresh again! Pardon the shag face as I was running a high fever and also I just finish my work.

Had some supper at the lounge too since it's free! Haha!

Meet up with my friends who is having McDonald's while waiting for me to shower.

And off we goes to.... Athens!
We are actually taking Scoot for a 12 hours flight to Athens! Brave and challenge taker huh? Anyway the price of the air tickets are way too attractive for us not to take up the challenge! We paid only SD$549 not to Asia country but to Europe!

Surprisingly... Full flight...

And to our surprise, the leg space is quite big! I can actually stretch my legs straight underneath the front seats!

Good night! Time to sleep! Oh ya that's Yiping!

Can you believe I actually slept throughout the 12 hours and the only time I woke up is when Yiping wake me up to eat a cup noodle ( we paid $5 for it btw )! Haha I can really sleep a lot right and maybe that's the reason why I usually don't get jetlet?

Hello Athens! We finally landed!

Gotten our data sim card in Singapore and ready to explore the country again!

We didn't go straight to Athens city because we are leaving to somewhere else tomorrow so we stayed at Voula area, where all the beaches are for a night. Book a taxi through the Beat App ( similar to our Grab ).

It will take about 30mins from airport to our Airbnb!

Here we are at our apartment!

Haha! Look how small the lift is! It only fit 3 luggage and Qianyi!

Girl idol poster?

Left our luggage in the apartment first as it was too early to check it yet and off we go our for our brunch! Can see how hungry Pauline is right?

Brunch time at Rey Pablo which is recommended by our Airbnb host, Andrea!
Operating Hours : 8am to 12am ( Monday - Thursday )
9am to 12am ( Friday - Sunday )
**please note that time might differ during different season

We are all starving but before anything, coffee first!

And here comes the food!
I have to say the brunch here at Rey Pablo is so good! ( is it because we too hungry? )

After a yummy brunch, we went to explore the little town and also to kill sometime before we can check in.

Before walking back to our apartment, we drop by the supermarket to grab some water and snacks.

After supermarket, walk over to the Voula Center to see what they have there.

Most of the shops is not open so we left the place.

Back to apartment now.

Here's our home for tonight! Let me introduce you... Here's the living room.

The kitchen.

Toilet.

Bedroom 1.

Bedroom 2.

Bathroom.

View from our balcony.

After checked in the apartment, we took taxi to the Vouliagmeni Lake to have a look.

Entrance fee into the lake is 12euro ( SG$18.40 ).
It's too cold for us to swim in there and we felt that the entrance fee into the lake is too expensive and not worth the money if we only want to enter and not swim.

So we just pretend we went in... Haha!

Taking picture just outside the lake doesn't seems bad too. The background still looks good!

And next, we walk over to the Vouliagmeni beach that is right opposite.

So beautiful and peaceful place!

It's dessert time! We had some waffle ice cream at Waffle House before heading back to our apartment.
Operating Hours : 10am to 12am ( Sunday - Thursday )
10am to 12.30am ( Friday )
10am to 1am ( Saturday )
**Please note that time might differ during different season

So we decided to walk back to our apartment which is about 40mins walk! ( I know we are a bunch of crazy people! ) Haha! At the same time we could check the neighborhood out.
Pass by a church and did you see the moon is out already?

And we saw cherry blossom!

Back home! And while deciding where shall we go for dinner, we come to a conclusion, we don't want walk anymore so we cook our instant noodle that we brought from Singapore. It's cold outside and a hot bowl of soupy noodle is all what we want now.

I'm taking charge of the couch tonight so I get to have some 'me time' while the rest went to sleep! Oh ya! The apartment comes with Netflix too!

Day 2 :

We checked in and printed our boarding pass when we are still in Singapore because I read from Volotea's official website stating that all Volotea boarding pass printed at the airport while checking in will be charged. That's a very weird way of earning money isn't it? Why should they charged their passenger when printing boarding pass while checking in at the airport is so normal for all another airline.

Good morning! Heading off to Mykonos today! Bye Athens for now and we will be back in a week!

Anyway, off we go!

Reaching soon!

Landed in Mykonos!

Our Airbnb host helped us to arrange a transfer from airport to the apartment ( of course chargeable… )

Off we go to our paradise!

Welfie time!

It's my first time to Mykonos and here we are at the Little Venice of Mykonos, which is their main town area and where our apartment are! We will be waking up with such view for the next 3 days!

The staff came to fetch us to the hotel.

It's a cute town but most of the shops are not open because they are still enjoying their winter holiday! All business will only resume after 1st April. So sad...

That's the view from our apartment!

Too early for check in again so we went out to hunt for lunch first.

Decided to have lunch at Captain's as their review on google map seems to be one of the best restaurant there.
Operating hours : 7am to 1am ( Monday to Sunday )
**Please note that time might differ during different season

Let's see what do they have...

The staff is very friendly to recommend us some nice food!

As usual, coffee first!

Warm local wine for lunch?!

This octopus with cheese and tomato sauce is sooo good! I think I need some bread to dip into the sauce!

Look at this huge seafood plater!
No regrets eating here to be honest! The food here is so yummy! Every dish is so good!

Complimentary traditional wine, Ouzo from the staff! But seriously it taste so weird ( taste like toothpaste mixed with very strong alcohol! )! Haha!

As I have mention earlier on that most of the shops here are not open yet and also beside that, basically there isn't many people or tourist around!

Well... in a good way is that we can roam around the place freely without afraid of pick pockets ( quite well known in Europe ) and we can take as many photo as we want without anybody photobombing us!

This place is just so beautiful!

Time to check in at our Airbnb, the Little Venice Suite!
Check the place out at :

And finally... Tada! Our house for the next 3 nights! Here's the living room.

Kitchen.

Room 1.

Bathroom 1.

Bedroom 2 at the rooftop.

Bathroom 2.

The most amazing part of the house, the balcony with jacuzzi and with the best view!

Happiness is to able to travel around the world and with your besties!

Checked in and off we go again to roam around the little town.

There is still some shops that is ready to open for business!

This mini chairs hooks are so cute!

Empty town is the best time to do some welfie isn't it?

They have Sephora there but too bad it's s not open.

And wow! They have a Louis Vuitton there! But again too bad it's not open.

Back to our house!

Our house is the best spot for watching sunset isn't it?!

Sun goes down and it's time for dinner! There isn't much choice to be honest, so we just randomly walk in Kazarma for dinner.
Operating Hours : 8am to 1.30am ( Monday - Saturday )
8am to 12am ( Sunday )
** Please note that time might differ during different season

And that's what they have there.

Food wasn't bad actually but not fantastic either.

Back to our apartment to rest since there is nothing much for us to do at night. Star glazing and chit chat all the way!

Anyway, time to sleep, good night!
