Greece 2019 day 5 & 6 : Mykonos -> Santorini -> Oia -> Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum -> Pyrgos -> Black Beach -> Fira

Day 5 :

Good morning! It's time to bid goodbye to this beautiful island!

This place really leaves us happiness like the name of this shop just below our apartment!

The most well dress porter!

Last view of the place and bidding good bye!

Taking welfie and the driver wants to join in too! Haha!
Oh and yes with our luggage we have no choice but to opt for car transfer to the old port, we are not going to walk there like yesterday with all our luggage! The hotel staff helped us to make the booking.

Reach the old port with a short car ride ( it's nearer to us compart to the New Port we walk over yesterday for our ferry to Delos ), indeed we make the right choice.

Last view of this island and I'm sure we gonna miss this place very much!
Even the sky becomes so gloomy when we are leaving Mykonos! They know how we feel right now I guess? But it's ok! We are just moving on to the other beautiful island! Btw, we choose to take ferry instead of flight because there is no direct flight between these two island, if we want to fly, we need to stop over at Athens again.

We randomly bought this nougat from the dry nuts store and it's so good that it's not even enough for the 5 of us! We only bought one to try and to our surprise it taste not too sweet! We gonna buy more if we sees it!

The ferry tickets that we collected yesterday from the travel agency.

Time to board the ferry!

Ferry will take about 1 hr 50mins to reach.

Our seats is at the first row and the benefit is we can put our luggage here and rest our legs on it! Haha!

Breakfast settled from the ferry bar counter.

Reached and our car transfer which is arrange by my Airbnb host in Santorini, Dennis ( of course chargeable as well ) is already waiting for us.

Here's the information of the transfer company if anybody needs it.
Please note that the website didn't work so you can check their Facebook.

Tada! We reach our apartment in Oia ( pronounce as Yi Ya / Yee Ya )! Look at the view outside our room!

Here's our living room.

Dinning area.

Bedroom 1 at the loft.

Bedroom 2.

Kitchen.

Cooking utensil provided! There is more kept at the other cabinet.

Bathroom.

Balcony, a space that we can chill and star glazing at night!

All the coffee, food and snacks are complimentary for us! And all of them are unopened! How thoughtful is Dennis!
Check our host at :

Let's take some "idol group poster" outside our apartment before we go hunt for our lunch!

And everyone have that 'not cooperative' friend ( like mine... her name is Qianyi... Hahaha )!

Head off to hunt for lunch!

Seeing this and all I have to say is ' I'm back!'. If you do follow my blog, you should know that is my second time back to Santorini!

I totally agree with this signboard so please be reminded to respect this place.

Hello doggy!

Never sick of this view no matter how many time I look at it!

Here I'm back to the iconic 3 blue dome!

We pass by this Pelekanos and thought of giving it a try for lunch but too bad it's not open so we decided to head to the restaurant that Dennis recommended.

While walking, pass by many nice shops and some are open!

Another doggy chilling by the stairs.

The famous bookstore is close at the moment, shall go in and have a look when they are open.

Lotza is one of the recommendation by Dennis so we decided to have a try.
Operating Hours : 10am to 11pm ( Monday - Sunday )
**Please note that time might differ during different season

Their menu for reference.

Coffee time again!

This rice with mix seafood is good!

Sole fillet is not bad too!

This pork in cooking pot is superb! The meat is so surprisingly tender! It doesn't have any fancy name but it definitely have a yummy taste!

Bella, the dog was beside us throughout our lunch and she seeking my attention by putting her paw on my lap! Isn't she so cute?

Continue roaming around after lunch.

Look at the gloomy sky...

But again, Santorini are just like Mykonos, most of the shops are still not open for business due to the Winter season. But I guess it's slightly better here? Around 70% of shops here is close compare to Mykonos, where almost 90% of the shops is close.

Kitty modeling in front of my camera again!

Pass by this shop and many beautiful things inside!

So colourful so nice!

We pass by Drossos and went in to do some enquiry on day tour. Staff was friendly, price was reasonable so we decided to go ahead to book with them.
We booked a driver for 3 hours tour at 120euro ( SG$183 ) from them. For 5 person we found it quite reasonable but if they are charging the same price for lesser people than I will not advice to book from them.
According to google map, their review is not good so I shall review it again when we finish our tour tomorrow ( to be fair to them right? ).
Operating Hours : 24Hrs

After booking the half day tour, we walk over to the supermarket to grab some water and snacks.
Address : OIA, Oía 847 02, Greece
Operating Hours : 8am to 8pm ( Monday - Sunday )
**Please note that time might differ during different season and that 24hr signboard are not for the supermarket

Walking back to apartment.

Didn't watch sunset today but we watch the beautiful moon instead.

Dinner time! Saw this Thai restaurant call Paradox and decided that it's time for Asian food! This will be our first Asian food of the trip!
Operating Hours : 1pm to 11pm ( Monday - Sunday )
**Please note take time might differ during different season

Not coffee but Thai milk tea this time round!

Quite authentic Thai food by the way. The boss is a Thai too.
I didn't know I miss Asian food until I ate it... Feels home having any Asian food though...

Back to apartment and we have a cute visitor here!

Look how cute she is! She is not planning to leave our apartment!
Anyway, Good night people!

Day 6 :

Coffee time at Hungry Donkey!
Operating Hours : 7am to 3am ( Monday - Sunday )

Every morning starts with a cup of coffee and today is not gonna be any different. We had take away coffee from because we need to rush off to meet our driver soon.

Operating Hours : 9am to 5pm ( Monday - Saturday )
10am to 5pm ( Sunday )

We took the first package which is 10euro ( SG$15.30 ) to enter the museum and get to try 4 different types of wine from their winery.

Audio guide is including in the entrance fee.

Nobody else beside us touring the whole place!

Time travel back to the historical of the wine. Although I don't drink but it's fun to know how wine is made too.

Reallllllllly? Haha!

Anyway, beside some of the showcase, there is a number for you to press on the audio device so sorry I couldn't explain much here... Too much to remember! Haha!

We listen! Just that my single brain cells could not remember anything while writing this post so forgive me!

Finishing exploring the history part, time for some wine tasting ( early in the morning though... )!

Frist wine...

Second wine...

Third wine...

Forth and last wine. Not very knowledgeable for wines but I prefer the 3rd one.

Trying to look at the wine rim.

Cheers!

There is more wines so if you took the most expensive package, you will be able to try all. Price of each wine stated above.

So 5 person ended up with so many wine! ( I only got 1 for my dad... )
By the way, the wine is packed in a bubble sleeve so don't worry about checking in the wine in your luggage.

We didn't want to go anymore winery so the driver bring us up to a very high point of Santorini to overlook the island. To be honest we totally have no idea where is this place.

Nice place but it's way too cold and the wind is so strong to even take a proper picture without our hair covering our face!

See what I mean....?

And next, he brought us to another town call Pyrgos.

Only true friends laugh when you are unwell. Haha! Poor Yiping got car sick after having wine and all the curvy road.

A very small town, we didn't spend too much time here but there is some resort and hotel here too.

Next, he brought us to black beach. By right this beach should be flooded with tourist but because it's winter, we can have the whole beach by ourselves.
The sand is really black and the reason why it's black is because of the volcano there.

Since there is no other tourist ( not even local... ), let's take as many picture as we want!

We ended our 3 hours tour at Fira town so that we do not need to take bus here from Oia again.
Overall we are quite satisfice with the service from Drossos. The driver is friendly, not pushy ( didn't bring us to place that needs to buy something beside the winery which we requested to go ) and instead of dropping as back in Oia, we ask if it's ok to drop us at Fira and he agree without changing us extra ( because we over run the 3hr alittle ).

Shopping starts!

Back here again!

The percentage of stores open is similar to Oia but the crowd is slightly lesser.

Frist thing to do in Fira is to hunt for our lunch! Dennis did recommend a restaurant here but it's a long walking distance from our drop off point so we gave up and decided to just drop by any restaurant.

We stop by this place call The Family where they sell a few variety of food here.
Operating Hours : 8am to 1am ( Monday, Tuesday & Friday )
12pm to 12am ( Wednesday & Thursday )
8am to 12am ( Saturday & Sunday )
**Please note that time might differ during different season

The food looks simple but taste is not as bad .

We also went over to next door to buy their Gyros and Souvlaki ( kebab ).

After lunch, we went roaming around the almost empty town.

I still remember my last trip here, I went down to the port by donkey but this time round they are not interested so we continue to roam around.

I don't remember walking here before! Maybe it was too crowed the previous time I came?

I had Greek yogurt from this Lou Yo and wanted to have it again but so sad it's not open!
Address : Φηρά, Φηρά Σαντορίνης 847 00, Greece
Operating Hours : 9am to 11.30 ( Monday - Sunday )
**Please note that time  might differ during different season

Oh this pavilion is new? I don't remember seeing it the last time I was here?

Nice view here!

Time for a short break at Zafora café.
Address : Right next to cable car, Thira 847 00, Greece
Operating Hours : 9.30am to 12am ( Monday - Sunday )
**Please note that time might differ during different season

I ordered a yogurt but it's not the same taste as the one I had at Lou Yo! I still prefer Luo Yo.

Time to head back to Oia to catch the sunset.
We walk back to the bus terminal to wait for the bus that drives us back from Fira to Oia.

Bus fare will only collect on the bus when it's nearer to Oia so don't bother to ask at the counter.

Bus is here! Can ask around if not sure about which is the correct bus to board.

Bus fare is at 1.80euro (SG$2.80 ) per trip.

Back to our apartment to put our loot first and the cats are are waiting for us!

This is the view right in front of my now!

A view that I miss after my last visit here.

Walking towards the sunset.

This is the famous spot in Oia for their sunset! It's right at the end of this town. Even people who stay in Fira will purposely take the bus over just for this sunset!

Doggy accompany us while we wait for sunsets!

Sun not setting yet so welfie with Peijun first!

And of course welfie with the rest!

The sun is slowly setting!

Isn't the sunset is just so breathtaking?! Everyone there just stay silent and enjoy the sunset, so calming, so peaceful...

After sunset, walking back to for dinner and the sky still look so unreal here!

Before walking back, we went into this unique book store. It was not open when we are here yesterday so finally it's open.

While taking pictures, please be careful as the staff are not very friendly so try to take picture when she is not looking and most importantly avoid taking her picture.

I was taking picture of this entrance and I think she thought I'm taking picture of her so she actually shouted at me and say 'NO'. So please be very careful when you take picture. The place is indeed nice and worth to have a look.

Small place but with many different types of books here! If you are a book collector, this is a place that you must visit!

There is even the first edition of some famous book which cost a bomb!

Look! Although the sun has set, the sky is still blue!

Some welfie with the beautiful evening look of Santorini before heading back to our apartment.

The sky turns dark within a few minutes!

Some of them went over to Pitogyros to buy some Gyros back and the rest stay in the apartment to cook for dinner.
Address : Oia 847 02, Greece
Operating Hours : 12pm to 11pm ( Monday - Sunday )

Chef Qianyi on duty!
We bought lots of local big mushroom to eat because all of us love mushroom and those we ordered in the restaurant is never enough for us! Haha!

Dinner time!
Chit chat, yoga and time to sleep! Good night!
