Cebu Day 3 &4 : Back to Cebu city, travel and shop like a local

DAY 3 :

Good morning! Had our last breakfast at Eden Resort and we are ready to head off to the city! As usual, the resort staff and very kind to help us book the tuk tuk to send us to the Santander bus terminal to take the Ceres Liner back to Cebu South Bus Terminal. Again they got Charles ( our tuk tuk driver yesterday ) to fetch us to the bus terminal and again here starts our 4 hr bus journey! Haha!

Culture shock! While on our way back to the city, the bus pick up passenger along the way and slowly there is "extra seats" beside us!

So after the 4 hr bus ride to Cebu South Terminal, we took a cab to our resort located at Mactan, Lapu-Lapu city.
Here we are at our next resort, Be resort Mactan!
Book the resort from www.agoda.com and got quite a good deal for a big and sea view room! Room are well equip too. Guests of the resort are mostly Koreans ( about 80% ), don't ask me why, cause I am not sure too. Haha!

Our room!

The view outside our balcony!

Toilet are clean too.

Time to roam around the resort to take pictures and to make people envy! Haha!

Gonna admit that I book this resort because of this view I saw on Agoda website and this place looks exactly the same! Trust my photo (no filter as usual), this place really look this good!

Nice weather with nice painting on the sky!

A mini pool next to the restaurant and i will share the bigger pool later.

Time for lunch! We asked the resort staff where should we go for our lunch and they intro us to a nearby seafood restaurant. The restaurant is not far from BE resort, we can either take their local transport or walk, and so we decided to walk after we check out the google map for it's location and it seems like it is quite near. All we do is walk straight for about 10 mins until we see Movenpick Hotel, and it is just opposite the hotel.

Here we are at +Fiesta Bay Asian Seafood Restaurant ! We didn't expect to be such a big restaurant and we start to think that will the price be very expensive. Eating seafood in Singapore might cost us a bomb so since it's our first time in Cebu, we are not very sure about their market rate for seafood.
Anyway, we are very hungry already and thought that we shall give this place a try!

Very clean restaurant! As you can see that the place is very empty, just the two of us inside, not that they got no business but actually they are not open yet. The staff are actually resting and preparing for the busy night. They actually told us to come in as they can still prepare food for us! We feel so bad for not letting them to rest but they are still very friendly and put a smile on the face every time!

Just the two of us, so we got the staff to introduce some of the dishes for us and here are what we ate for lunch!
Oh ya! They use iPad as their menu! So cool!

Deep fried chicken slices! Nice to be finger food!

Thinking that a plate of this scallop might cost us a bomb? NO! This plate of bake scallop with melted cheese on top cost us about SGD$6! YES! $6! I regret for not ordering another plate!

The restaurant staff actually ask for our name and also address us by our name throughout! Thumbs up for the good service and not forgetting the food!

After a nice lunch, we asked the friendly restaurant staff where is the nearest supermarket where we can buy some local snacks and my favorite Cebu 7D dried mangoes and they told us to take their local transport to 'Savemore'.
So their local transport look like the tuk tuk from Thailand too! It cost us only 20 peso (=SG$0.60) per trip. Not easy to ride one as we don't understand what they wrote in font of their tuk tuk but luckily they will stop by the road side where we are standing and ask where are we going. If the tuk tuk is not going to the same direction as 'Savemore' they will say wait for another one until one tuk tuk is going the same direction.
So we got up one which is going towards 'Savemore'!

So we squeeze in the tuk tuk like the locals! Care ride to 'Savemore' is about 20 mins.

Manage to capture some nice view while on our way to 'Savemore'!

Pass by a local market too! And people use the tuk tuk to delivery their baskets of fruits too! Not only we squeeze with the local, we also need to squeeze with the fruits. Haha! Nice experience though!

Sun is setting...

Here we are at the Savemore Market!

I love to shop supermarket in every country because to me, this is a place where we get to see what are the local food.

After grabbing some loots from the supermarket, we went shopping outside the supermarket but realize there isn't anything that suit us so we decided to go back to our resort for some spa massage!
We took the tuk tuk back to our resort again.

Book our massage at the lobby once we reach and make a appointment at 1 hr later so that we can settle down and rest a bit. Wanted to do hot stone but they can only do for 1 person so we decided to do the Aroma Bliss Harmony massage which is 1250 peso (=SG$37). Price point is ok since it is in the resort but we happen to check out one of the spa place near by and it cost more then the hotel rate so we thought it is still better to do in here.

Slacking by the sofa!

Spa time! Love the name of the spa room, the calm room! So keep calm and it's massage time!

Big and clean room.

After a nice and relax massage, we decided to head to the restaurant to have some cocktail!
This place looks beautiful at night too!

Saw this cute cocktail on their Instagram so we went there and show them the picture and so coincident that the person we approached is the bar tender who invented this drink!

Never had our dinner, so we ordered finger food first and will have our cup noodles in our room later.

There is promotion on every Friday and Saturday but too bad we missed both days as we were at Santander earlier on.

Now.. our dinner! Trying out their local cup noodle. Taste quite good, as in almost all type of instant and cup noodle taste good rite?

Day 4 :

Good morning! Time for some breakfast. Lots of choice for us to choose! We were totally spoiled for choice!

Purposely request to sit at this nest table for our breakfast!

The view of the Be Resort rooms!

Another fantastic weather to do some swimming and tanning and also our last swimming and tanning!

Photo taking session with the "shells" finally. It was fully occupied yesterday when we arrive and luckily we got to chop one today!

And so this is the bigger pool for adults!

Ordered some food and drinks while tanning by the pool.

There is other activities that was provided by the resort but we got no more time for those anymore as we will be leaving Cebu this evening. So sad...

Recreation room at the pool area.

Last picture in Be resort.... Time to say good bye to the beautiful beach, pool and sun!

Took a taxi to the Mactan-Cebu international airport and it takes only 10 - 15 mins to reach.

We got a bit shock when we still need to pay a terminal fee of 750 peso (=SG$22.40) as we are not prepared for this. Luckily we both have quite a fair bit of peso left as we didn't get to shop a lot beside at the supermarket and doing massage. There is a Singapore family in front of us didn't know that they have to pay the terminal fees too and they ended up going to the money changer to change some peso just to pay the fees.

There is still quite a bit of time before the gate is open as our flight got delayed for 45 mins, so we grab our simple dinner at the cafe outside our gate. The airport is small therefore the cafe is just a few steps away from the gate. Haha!

Can charge our phone at the cafe too.

My dinner! Local pork rice with their local sauce. Nice!

Very nice of the cafe to provided free wifi BUT non of them can connects. Haha!

Bye Cebu! You have been great to us! See you again!
