Korea 2016 Day 1 & 2 : Train to Busan -> Chinatown -> Busan UniversityStation -> Jagalchi Market -> Nampo Underground Shopping Mall -> NampoDong

Day 1 :

Here comes my annual Korea trip again! No reason why I always go Korea, just love the country and food!

Taking midnight flight so before check in, we went to the hello kitty cafe at T3 since the hype is over so no queue already.

Collect our wifi router from Changi irecommends as usual. I can consider myself as a regular user of this service!

Welfie before we pass the immigration!

Taking Korea Air this time round!

Ok, bye Singapore for now!

Not sure why Korea Air didn't serve dinner but straight to breakfast when we are reaching Incheon International Airport.

Got our Arex express ticket at the Airport Railroad Travel Center.

I have also book the tourist 2 day railway pass from the Korail website, so gonna collect it before we head to Seoul station to take the railway to Busan.
The pass looks like this. This railway comes is different package. There is 1 day pass which is unlimited trip within the day. For us, we buy the 2 day pass because we just need to travel from Seoul to Busan and Busan back to Seoul. Although we will be in Busan for 3 days, as long as we require only 2 train ride, and already know the date of return, we can just buy this package instead of the 3 day pass ticket. Please note that, 2 tickets and above will be cheaper.

They will also issue the Korail train tickets from Seoul station to Busan and when we are coming back, we will use this pass to change our train tickets.

Welfie with all the sleepy face before our express train is here to bring us to Seoul Station. Journey to Seoul station is about 40 mins.

Every time I take the express train, I will surely take the shopping coupon but so far I didn't get any chance to use it yet.

Reach Seoul Station, bought some food to eat on the train.

Train is here and we are on time despite the tight timing we have from airport to Seoul station.

Train to Busan ( a current famous movie ) starts now! Train ride to Busan is about 2.5 hrs.
Time to enjoy our food and zzzzzzz...

Bye Seoul! See you in a few days later!

If you watched the movie 'Train to Busan', I'm sure you will be familiar with this view!

And this view!

Hello Busan!

First thing to do is to go to the nearest convenience store to get T-money for Katherine and Jingpei.

Not yet time to check in our apartment so we went to the Busan Station Underground Shopping Center to kill some time.

Finally can check in our apartment! Our apartment is actually located at the Chinatown, which is just across the street of the Busan station.

Purposely choose a apartment that is just walking distance from Busan station for easy traveling within Busan or even when we are heading back to Seoul.
Didn't manager to met the host, JH, but everything is well communicate before the trip.
Check the host out for her apartment : https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/13271610

The living room with a queen size bed.

The loft with 2 single bed.

The bathroom.

The view outside our apartment.

The kitchen area.
After settling down for a bit and off we go again.

Walk around the Chinatown area to see what they have.
They have Philippines restaurant there!

 Many Chinese restaurants around.

So many restaurant around but we actually went to Lotteria for lunch before heading for some shopping at the Busan university street.

Here we are at the Pusan University station!

What time is it? It's Bingsu time!

It's the melon season so we are so gonna try the melon bingsu! Look at the melon!

So yummy! There is red bean, mochi, corn flake, and ice cream inside!

Every time I come to Busan, I will definitely meet Gemma. So we met up again! We shop together for a while and she brought us somewhere else for dinner later.

Street food is so good in Korea! Recommanded to try it out! There is one ( the one I had ) just outside the Busan Univ. station but only start in the evening time.

Took the train to Oncheongjang station, exit 3.

Cross over to the opposite and where we are heading is actually behind this shopping mall.

Before we actually reach the restaurant, we went to the super market before it's close and which it was located at the basement of the shopping mall.

Gemma brought us to this handmade noodle shop. No English word can be found here so you know this is not those typical touristy restaurant!
I can't find the address of this restaurant because there is no English name of this restaurant but I roughly remember is inside the street of Oncheongjang-ro 125 beon gil.

Few type of hand made noodle to choose from.

Soya bean noodle?!

Kimchi soup noodle.

Jjangmyeong!

If you notice it, you will find the noodle in different colour! It's actually made by different type of vegetable!
After dinner, we are kind of tired already so we part our way there but meeting again tomorrow for more shopping!

Haha! Gemma took a picture of the salted egg chips that I brought from Singapore for her! That's how she enjoy her beer and chips after she got home!

Day 2 :

Good morning Busan!

Seeing all the seafood you know that I'm bringing Katherine and Jingpei to have seafood at Jagalchi fish market!

I miss the seafood stew that I had last year so much that I'm back for this again! The place ( located at level 5 if I never remember wrongly ) didn't change at all ( still as empty! Haha! )!

With the best sea view and some performance on the sea!

Try their seafood pancake too this time round! Look how generous on the seafood for a pancake like this!

Our yummy seafood stew is here!

Oh ya the only thing that changes is, ahjuma now can speak a little English! Haha!

Went up to roof top to have a look at the observation deck.

Went into the wet market to have a look although we are not buying any. People can actually buy their fresh seafood from here and proceed to the restaurant to ask them to cook for you.

Enjoy the sea view a bit before leaving the place.

Ate too much so we got ourselves some Yaklut from the ahjuma's push cart. Look at their Yaklut! It's designed up side down! If anybody know the reason for this, you can let me know!

We are meeting Gemma unnie at Nampo dong which is just 1 station away from jagalchi fish market but we actually walk through the Nampo underground shopping center to reach Nampo Dong station.

Went in to Allegiance cafe which is just located right at the corner after coming out from the Nampo Dong station exit 1.

Love the interior of the cafe!

When in Korea, drink like the Korean! Ice Americano!

Pass by this pet shop! So cute!

Snacks before we start shopping! Peanut egglet with real peanut inside!

Ppopgi is the Korean traditional candy using just baking soda and brown sugar.

 So, it's shopping time!

Nampo dong is one of the famous shopping street in Busan!

Men's corner that sells more on men's clothes.

What a big ABC-mart! I enjoyed shopping at ABC-mart in Tokyo but I didn't get any from Korea.

Another spots wear shop call Folder!

Dessert time! Dessert before dinner is totally fine right?

Beautiful gelato!

Light bulb drinks at the gelato shop too.

Saw a lot of people holding to one of this light bulb drinks and so we follow the trend!

Long queue at the sausage shop beside the gelato shop and so while waiting for our gelato, Gemma went to queue for the sausage! Yummy!

Had some of the famous Korea local street food, Gyeran-Bbang ( egg bread ) along the way.

Walked pass some of the food stalls too and people will just sit on the stool to have their meal.

Can you guess what is all this stall for? Yes! It's fortune telling stalls!

Continue to hunt for our dinner!

We are having Korean pig trotters, Jokbal here! I couldn't find the address for this restaurant as well but it is just next to Galmegi Brewing.

Address for Galmegi Brewing :

Yummy Jokbal but not to Jingpei's liking because she doesn't like pork as much!

Cute Minions flavored milk from Gemma!

The night seems to be still young and people are still on the street eating!

Pass by this stall selling Hotteok, also a local street food that is brown sugar pancake stuffed with spices and sunflower seeds. So far I only see this in Busan and Gemma told me this is Busan local snacks so can only find in Busan!

Katherine was trying to video down how they do the Hotteok and this friendly boss here is very cute to slow down his speed in order for her to take a better video!

This is how the Hotteok look like!

Lastly before we head back home, how can we miss out the tea and dessert! It's quite late already and most of the cafe is closed except Coffeesmith and I've tried before and it's not bad, so we decided to have our last dessert here.

After dessert and time to head back home to sleep! Good night!
