Korea - Seoul Day 6

Korea Day 6

Had our breakfast at one of the restaurant on our way to the city hall station. We choose this restaurant cause ever since the day we reach Korea, we haven get to eat their famous abalone porridge. We pass by this restaurant and found that they have abalone porridge so we went in to try.
The serve ginseng tea and wine before our meal unlike other restaurant which only serve water.

We were too hungry that we keep looking at the kitchen trying to see when is our porridge coming. The lady boss saw us keep looking at the food and offer us a small plate of chicken liver to fill our hungry stomach first. I don't eat so pearlie had it all.

Finally our porridge is here but it doesn't taste as good ( not bad but not as good ). I was expecting that the porridge is similar to the abalone porridge that I ate in jeju last year but it taste totally different. But indeed there is abalone bits in the porridge.

The train seems to be lesser crowded in the afternoon. Good!

Today will be a art and culture day for me and Pearlie as both of us are arts and design grads. Haha.
This is Hyehwa station, which is one station away from Dongdeamun station. We are going to visit Naksan park and their wall painting village.

This is the Marronnier park, those people who like to watch performance can come here on the weekends.

While finding our way to Naksan park we pass by this house and it just look like those house that spear in the drama. Haha!

Along the way, there is many many different cafe.

Finally we saw this! Thanks to a mother who gave us the correct direction although she can't speak English.

Continue walking...

A very local street. No branded, no tourist shopping, only locals. I like!

Love those wall arts on people's house.

Even the stairs!

Found a pre school up the hill!

I find this slide amazing! Those student can just slide down from level two! I guess that's a faster way to go home!

Didn't really climb up the highest point of the hill cause it seems to be a long way! Haha.. While on our way walking to the wall painting village, there is also a few statue along the way too.

Didn't get to see cherry blossom during the whole trip ( weather turn colder instead, so cherry blossom is delay! ) but we still manage to see other beautiful flowers.

Here we are at the wall painting village. These houses are actually poorly developed but the ministry of culture and tourism of Korea aim to improve the living condition and also give this area an artistic and culture makeover.

With all this make over, this village did not give me a poorly developed area at all. I love those painting which was painted outside their house.

Write a message on their wall too! This is the only time where you can draw on the wall and not get scolded by your mum!

After finish walking the art village we follow the road and get to the train station.
Pass by this stunning hair salon! Totally attract our eyes to it. Don't know what's all the poster saying but all I know is its a barber shop! Cool!

I got shock when i saw this Ahjushi selling toy inside the train and he manage to close 3 deal at our cabin!

Look at their cute station at Ewha university station! The bench there write : You are not alone. ( cause you got all the cartoon accompany you while waiting for train! )

Going to Sinchon for shopping! This area has lots of cheap stuff due to it is at the university area.

Before shopping, we shall have some street snacks.

We decided to go into cafe noriter for some coffee to warm ourselves up cause its really cold outside.

Word along the stairs up the cafe.

Every group will have their own private corner to have your coffee and tea. Cute place to chill with friends.

I guess the theme of the cafe is rabbit! Can see them everywhere.

After a tea break, time to shop! Take your time to shop and you might find clothes that cost from 3000 to 10000 won.

Cute shop but not our style. Haha.

The Ewha Womans University. I should pretend as their student and go tour around their school next time cause from the outside it looks good. Nice environment to study.

Back to Myeong Dong for some shopping ( again ) and dinner. Having Korean BBQ again tonight!

Free gift from the lady boss!

And free gift from the boss. We can choose any kpop stars we like!

This is how a raining Myeong dong at 10pm+ look like on a Monday.

End of day six.
