Thailand 2017 Day 1 & 2 : Hua Hin -> Hua Hin Night Market -> Phraya Nakon Cave -> Santorini Park

Day 1:

Yes! Finally Time for another holiday! Going for a short trip to Hua Hin and Bangkok. It's my first time to Hua Hin and I need a beach holiday so badly!

Checked in and off we go!
There is no flight to Hua Hin, so we actually need to land at Bangkok airport and from there take either car, bus or train to Hua Hin.

First thing to do is to get our SIM card! This is the phone line company that we usually buy. Selling at 299baht for 7 days and unlimited data.

This is another phone line company that my mum purchase last week when she is here and she pass to me, therefore so I'm using a different line with Teresa and Liyana. Price is the same too.

We actually have 1 Japanese friend, Miyuki who is flying over from Japan to meet us, so while waiting for her to arrive, we went to have some lunch at Blue Cup cafe.

Teresa's Cranberry apple tea is nice!

Pork curry with rice.

My Cappuccino frost is nice too!

Tom yum noodle.

Liyana's Toffee nut is good too! I think they serve quite good coffee.

Pat Thai.

Once Miyuki is here and straight we went to find our driver. I actually book the car for 3 days and it cost 12000baht (SG$498) for 4 of us. The person in charge was holding my name while waiting for us. ( But.... I'm not Mr Oliver.... )

Contact through WeChat  ( ID ) : omyimkung ( But reply might be a bit slow )

To our surprise the car is so big!
I think each of us can each take 1 row of seats because our journey will take around 3 hr and if there is traffic it will be ever longer.
Look at the lights above! Looks like we can club in the car?

Off we go!

Stopped by at the rest point but didn't get anything but we still shop around a bit to let our driver have his dinner.

Ok the journey took longer than expected. Finally we reached our hotel, Devasom Huahin Resort

The lobby.

The view from the lobby.

Not sure what room is this.

Our welcome drinks!

Even the corridor looks so nice!

Tada! Our sea view room is so nice!

The bathroom.

Free fruits!

And everything in the fridge are free! First time I stay in a hotel that provide snacks and drinks for free!

The usual coffee and tea provided as well.

View from our balcony! But too dark to see the sea view.

After check in, off to the Hua Hin night market to hunt for our dinner! There is many seafood restaurant around and also stall that sells cute and unique things!

Address : ซ, Hua Hin 72, Tambon Hua Hin, Amphoe Hua Hin, Chang Wat Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110, Thailand
Operating Hours : 6pm - 11pm ( Mon - Sat )
                    6pm - 12am ( Sun )

We are too hungry to slowly choose where to eat so we decided to settle with this Khaimuk Seafood restaurant.

Address : Hua Hin, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110, Thailand

Food here are surprising not bad and price is reasonable too.

After a happy dinner, time for some shopping! Walk around the night market to see what they have. This stalls sell very nice and unique 3D greeting cards! ( I use to do in during school days and now I don’t even remember how to do anymore... Haha! )

Many stalls selling clothes too.

It's rotee! There is always room for dessert right?

This is another Thailand local snacks and it taste even better when it's freshly made.

I got myself a bangle from this stall at 200baht only! They can still personalized my name.

This is how the bangle looks like! 200baht well spent!

Pass by 7-11 and bought ice cream back for an ice-cream party! After our ice cream party, bath and tuck into the bed! Gonna wake up early tomorrow. Good night!

Day 2 :

Woke up with this view!

A better view from the lobby compare to last night!

Went down to the cafe for our breakfast.

Coffee to start off the day is a must!

After some breakfast, we are ready to head off to the Phraya Nakon Cave! It takes about 1-1.5 hrs to reach from our hotel so we have to leave early.

Off we go!

Finally we reached! Not the cave but the national park that will lead us to the cave. The admission fee for the national park is 200baht.

Address : ถนนรพช. ปข. 4033 สามร้อยยอด(กิ่ง) Amphoe Sam Roi Yot, Chang Wat Prachuap Khiri Khan 77120, Thailand
Operating Hours : 8a, - 4pm ( Mon - Sun )

There is two option to get to the cave, one will be trekking 2km from here,

Or taking this boat to the beach ( around 5 mins ride ) and trek for 600m at 400baht per boat ( return trip ). And of cause we opt for the boat. We have no confident in trekking for 2km even though we are not sure if we could survive the 600m as well! Haha!

Here we reach the beach.

And again, when you are here, you can get to choose to trek with or without a tour guide. There is no fix amount to be paid to the tour guide so it's up to us to pay any amount we want so we opt for the tour guide.

The adventure starts now!

Look who's here to welcome us before we start climbing?!

The road is so steep that we run out of breath very fast and every 50-100m we gonna stop to rest! Haha! Luckily our tour guide is very patient.

Have to say the air is so good but look how steep it is! Haha!

Stop by at the view point and to rest again! Sky is not very bright today as it might be a raining day today.

Basically we have to walk up hill for 300m first...
And then we will walk 300m down hill to our final destination.

Finally we are really near to the Phraya Nakon Cave!

A natural formed bridge!

And now we are the dry waterfall.

Wow, look at how nature art piece is form! Did you see a face on the rock?

And yes! Finally! We reach the Phraya Nakon Cave! This place gives a very mystery feel because of the hole from the top where the sun shines it.

Seldom people will make the effort to come because of how difficult it is to reach here. But I really thinks it worth all the walking to see such impressive cave. No regrets!

From our tour guide, he said that this logo represent their King no.5 and King no.5 is actually buried at the pavilion.

Another art piece for, by the mother of nature! You see a side view of a man face?

He then brought us to see the crocodile stone which is also form by mother of nature!

The legacy of the caves.

I think not a lot of people manage to climb up this rocks, but our tour guide says there is very beautiful rock above and want us to go up and see. So we did although we are like super tired already.
Look at these rocks, doesn't it look like the pammukale that I just went? Haha!

So the beautiful rock is a big rock that has natural glitter on it! So cool! Not easy to capture still picture of the glitter so I screen shot from the video that's explain why is it so blur.

Great view! But...

Ok, now going down is difficult! Haha!

Time to walk back again! So it's another 600m again! Noooooooooooo!
Our tour guide walks so effortless and he is not even sweating at all! I wonder how many times he trek each day!

Finally back and we are still alive!

Straight we went to have a super cold coke to reward ourselves! AHHhhhhhhh....

Enjoying the view while waiting for our boat to fetch us back.

On the way back the beach where our car is parked at.

There is place for us to wash our feet BUT have to pay 5 baht for that and that including of using the toilet. In order not to dirty our car, we paid for the toilet and to wash our feet as well.

Look at that cute motorcycle! Anyway back to hotel to bath and meet Teresa and Miyuki who didn't join us for the Phraya Nakon Cave adventure!

After feeling fresh again, off we go again! And this time round is to the Santorini Park!

Address : Kao Yai, Cha-am District, Phetchaburi 76120, Thailand
Operating Hours : 9.30am - 6.30pm ( Mon - Fri )
                9am - 6.30pm ( Sun )

Entrance fee will be 150 per person.

Once you step in you will feel like you are in Santorini!

We're so hungry after a tough "exercise" so we went to find something to fill our stomach!

Don't know which to choose so we ended up having the safer Thai food.

Miyuki and I had Patt Thai.

Teresa and Liyana had tom yum soup with rice.
Food was ok but I have to say the table are dirty with birds flying in to eat the left over food and there is bugs crawling around.

Even the toilet looks fantasy!

After lunch, we walk around to take picture with the wall arts.

Trying to act natural but it seems...

And not forgetting to take picture with the iconic Ferris wheel!

Sorry! The Ferris wheel background is too nice that I have to post all our individual picture here!

There is a cute Miffy garden there so how can be miss the selfie and welfie session there right?

Inside the Miffy gardens are many more Miffy around.

Four friends behind and four friends in front! Same same but different ( Thai people like to said that...)!
Remind me of my unforgettable Turkey trip!

Thailand's iconic Tuk Tuk!

Group photo with our new friends.

A small Miffy souvenir shop at the end of the garden.

So to end the visit to the Santorini ( park ), we went to Miffy cafe for some coffee and dessert!

Omg! Look at the cute Miffy mongo sticky rice!

And my green tea latte.

They all had hot chocolate.

It's already 6pm when we left the Santorini park so straight we head off to the Hua Hin night market again. We wanted to try the massage at house of beauty yesterday but it was close so we purposely went back again today to try.

Address : Hua Hin, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110, Thailand
Operating Hours : 8am - 11pm ( Mon - Sun )

Prices was reasonable. We all choose the herbal ball Thai massage.
You can choose the strength of your masseur and which part you need them to focus on.

Massage starts! My masseur can actually speak a bit of Malay and a little bit of Hokkien! Anyway bye for a moment, I gonna enjoy my long waited massage!

After massage, walk over to the night market again to explore that other side of the market which we didn't manage to walk yesterday.

And of course is dinner time! Again this is also the restaurant that we wanted to try yesterday but when we call up, they say they are close already ( but when we walk pass they are not close... ).

Address : Hua Hin, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110, Thailand

Too bored while waiting for our food so we take act cute picture like this! Haha!

Free fruits to end the meal.

After dinner, back to hotel to end our long day! Oh ya the three of them didn't manage to take a picture so this sign board yesterday ( because they are busy shopping... ), so today we shall take again before we leave Hua Hin tomorrow.

Anyway, back to hotel and Good night!
